नई दिल्ली। अब भारत और अमेरिका के सम्बन्ध और ज्यादा प्रगाढ़ हो चले हैं। भारत और अमेरिका के बीच ऐतिहासिक Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA) समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर हो गए हैं। मंगलवार को दोनों देशों के बीच 2+2 वार्ता हुई, जिसमें दोनों देशों के रक्षा और विदेश मंत्री मिले. बैठक के बाद दोनों देशों की ओर से साझा बयान जारी किया गया है। दोनों देशों के बीच BECA समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर हुए, साथ ही परमाणु सहयोग को लेकर बात आगे बढ़ी। साझा प्रेस वार्ता से दोनों देशों ने चीन को भी कड़ा संदेश दिया।

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने अपने बयान में कहा कि भारत और अमेरिका की दोस्ती लगातार मजबूत हुई है, 2+2 बैठक में भी दोनों देशों ने कई मसलों पर मंथन किया जिसमें कोरोना संकट के बाद की स्थिति, दुनिया की मौजूदा स्थिति, सुरक्षा के मसलों पर कई अहम मुद्दों पर विस्तार से बात की गई। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह के मुताबिक, दोनों देशों ने परमाणु सहयोग बढ़ाने को लेकर कदम बढ़ाए हैं, साथ ही भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में सुरक्षा की स्थिति को लेकर विस्तार से बात की है।

अमेरिकी रक्षा मंत्री मार्क एस्पर ने कहा कि मौजूदा परिस्थितियों में भारत और अमेरिका की दोस्ती ना सिर्फ एशिया बल्कि दुनिया के लिए काफी अहम है। अमेरिकी रक्षा मंत्री बोले कि चीन की ओर से दुनिया के लिए खतरा बढ़ता जा रहा है, ऐसे में बड़े देशों को साथ आना होगा। मार्क एस्पर के मुताबिक, भारत-जापान और अमेरिका साथ में कई सैन्य ऑपरेशंस करेंगे, मालाबार एक्ससाइज़ भी की जाएगी। इसके अलावा दोनों देश डिफेंस इन्फॉर्मेशन शेयरिंग में नए मुकाम पर आगे बढ़ रहे हैं।
