आज एक ऐसा दिन है जिस दिन हमें संसार की समस्त माताओं का सम्मान करना चाहिये। जीहाँ आज मातृ दिवस है। वैसे माँ किसी सम्मान की मोहताज नहीं होती, माँ शब्द ही सम्मान के बराबर होता है, मातृ दिवस मनाने का उद्देश्य पुत्र के उत्थान में उनकी महान भूमिका को सलाम करना है। श्रीमद भागवत गीता में कहा गया है कि माँ की सेवा से मिला आशीर्वाद सात जन्म के पापों को नष्ट करता है। यही माँ शब्द की महिमा है। असल में कहा जाए तो माँ ही बच्चे की पहली गुरु होती है एक माँ आधे संस्कार तो बच्चे को अपने गर्भ में ही दे देती है यही माँ शब्द की शक्ति को दर्शाता है, वह माँ ही होती है जो पीड़ा सहकर अपने शिशु को जन्म देती है और जन्म देने के बाद भी मॉं के चेहरे पर एक सन्तोषजनक मुस्कान होती है इसलिए माँ को सनातन धर्म में भगवान से भी ऊँचा दर्जा दिया गया है।

‘माँ’ शब्द एक ऐसा शब्द है जिसमे समस्त संसार का बोध होता है। जिसके उच्चारण मात्र से ही हर दुख दर्द का अंत हो जाता है। ‘माँ’ की ममता और उसके आँचल की महिमा को शब्दों में बयान नहीं किया जा सकता है, उसे सिर्फ महसूस किया जा सकता है। रामायण में भगवान श्रीराम जी ने कहा है कि ‘‘जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गदपि गरीयसी।’’ अर्थात, जननी और जन्मभूमि स्वर्ग से भी बढ़कर है। कहा जाए तो जननी और जन्मभूमि के बिना स्वर्ग भी बेकार है क्योंकि माँ कि ममता कि छाया ही स्वर्ग का एहसास कराती है। जिस घर में माँ का सम्मान नहीं किया जाता है वो घर नरक से भी बदतर होता है। भगवान श्रीराम माँ शब्द को स्वर्ग से बढकर मानते थे क्योंकि संसार में माँ नहीं होगी तो संतान भी नहीं होगी और संसार भी आगे नहीं बढ पाएगा। संसार में माँ के समान कोई छाया नहीं है। संसार में माँ के समान कोई सहारा नहीं है। संसार में माँ के समान कोई रक्षक नहीं है और माँ के समान कोई प्रिय चीज नहीं है। एक माँ अपने पुत्र के लिए छाया, सहारा, रक्षक का काम करती है। माँ के रहते कोई भी बुरी शक्ति उसके जीवित रहते उसकी संतान को छू नहीं सकती। इसलिए एक माँ ही अपनी संतान की सबसे बड़ी रक्षक है। दुनिया में अगर कहीं स्वर्ग मिलता है तो वो माँ के चरणों में मिलता है। जिस घर में माँ का अनादर किया जाता है, वहाँ कभी देवता वास नहीं करते। एक माँ ही होती है जो बच्चे कि हर गलती को माफ कर गले से लगा लेती है। यदि नारी नहीं होती तो सृष्टि की रचना नहीं हो सकती थी। स्वयं ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश तक सृष्टि की रचना करने में असमर्थ बैठे थे। जब ब्रह्मा जी ने नारी की रचना की तभी से सृष्टि की शुरूआत हुई। बच्चे की रक्षा के लिए बड़ी से बड़ी चुनौती का डटकर सामना करना और बड़े होने पर भी वही मासूमियत और कोमलता भरा व्यवहार ये सब ही तो हर ‘माँ’ की मूल पहचान है।

दुनिया की हर नारी में मातृत्व वास करता है। बेशक उसने संतान को जन्म दिया हो या न दिया हो। नारी इस संसार और प्रकृति की ‘जननी’ है। नारी के बिना तो संसार की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती। इस सृष्टि के हर जीव और जन्तु की मूल पहचान माँ होती है। अगर माँ न हो तो संतान भी नहीं होगी और न ही सृष्टि आगे बढ पाएगी। इस संसार में जितने भी पुत्रों की मां हैं, वह अत्यंत सरल रूप में हैं। कहने का मतलब कि मां एकदम से सहज रूप में होती हैं। वे अपनी संतानों पर शीघ्रता से प्रसन्न हो जाती हैं। वह अपनी समस्त खुशियां अपनी संतान के लिए त्याग देती हैं, क्योंकि पुत्र कुपुत्र हो सकता है, पुत्री कुपुत्री हो सकती है, लेकिन माता कुमाता नहीं हो सकती। एक संतान माँ को घर से निकाल सकती है लेकिन माँ हमेशा अपनी संतान को आश्रय देती है। एक माँ ही है जो अपनी संतान का पेट भरने के लिए खुद भूखी सो जाती है और उसका हर दुख दर्द खुद सहन करती है।

लेकिन आज के समय में बहुत सारे ऐसे लोग हैं जो अपने मात-पिता को बोझ समझते हैं। और उन्हें वृद्धाश्रम में रहने को मजबूर करते हैं। ऐसे लोगों को आज के दिन अपनी गलतियों का पश्चाताप कर अपने माता-पिताओं को जो वृद्धाश्रम में रह रहे हैं उनको घर लाने के लिए अपना कदम बढाना चाहिए। क्योंकि माता-पिता से बढकर दुनिया में कोई नहीं होता। माता के बारे में कहा जाए तो जिस घर में माँ नहीं होती या माँ का सम्मान नहीं किया जाता वहाँ दुर्गा, लक्ष्मी और सरस्वती का वास नहीं होता। हम नदियों और अपनी भाषा को माता का दर्जा दे सकते हैं तो अपनी माँ से वो हक क्यों छीन रहे हैं। और उन्हें वृद्धाश्रम भेजने को मजबूर कर रहे है। यह सोचने वाली बात है। माता के सम्मान का एक दिन नहीं होता। माता का सम्मान हमें 365 दिन करना चाहिए। लेकिन क्यों न हम इस मातृ दिवस से अपनी गलतियों का पश्चाताप कर उनसे माफी मांगें। और माता की आज्ञा का पालन करने और अपने दुराचरण से माता को कष्ट न देने का संकल्प लेकर मातृ दिवस को सार्थक बनाएं।
