साउथ की एक छोटे बजट की फिल्म ने इस बार बॉक्स ऑफिस पर अक्षय-आमिर की फिल्मों को पछाड़ दिया है। हालांकि आंकड़े छोटे हैं, फिल्म का नाम है कार्तिकेय-2। यह फिल्म लाल सिंह चड्ढा और रक्षा बंधन की रिलीज के दो दिन बाद 13 अगस्त को रिलीज हुई।

ट्रेड पंडितों के हिसाब से माना जा रहा था कि आमिर-अक्षय की फिल्मों के आगे ये शायद ही टिक पाए। कार्तिकेय-2 की शुरुआत भी कुछ ऐसी ही थी। इसके हिंदी वर्जन ने पहले दिन मात्र 7 लाख रुपए कमाए, लेकिन अब जहां लाल सिंह चड्ढा और रक्षा बंधन का कलेक्शन 1 करोड़ के आसपास सिमट गया है, वहीं कार्तिकेय-2 का कलेक्शन लगातार बढ़ रहा है। वहीं तापसी की फिल्म दोबारा का भी बॉक्स ऑफिस पर यही हाल है।

21 अगस्त को कमाए 4 करोड़
फिल्म ने अपने दूसरे वीकेंड में 9 करोड़ का बिजनेस कर लिया है। आश्चर्यजनक बात यह है कि लाल सिंह चड्ढा और रक्षा बंधन का बिजनेस हर दिन गिर रहा है। वहीं, कार्तिकेय-2 का बिजनेस माउथ पब्लिसिटी के दम पर फिल्म का हर दिन का बिजनेस बढ़ रहा है। दूसरे वीकेंड यानी 21 अगस्त को इसका कलेक्शन 4.07 करोड़ तक पहुंच गया।

फिल्म द्वारिका, कृष्ण और माइथोलॉजी पर आधारित है। फिल्म के हीरो निखिल सिद्धार्थ हैं। एक्ट्रेस अनुपमा परमेश्वरन हैं। दोनों का ही नॉर्थ इंडिया में कोई फैन बेस नहीं है। फिल्म में अनुपम खेर ही एकमात्र ऐसा चेहरा हैं जो उत्तर भारत के दर्शकों के लिए जाना-पहचाना है। फिर भी फिल्म अपनी कहानी, पिक्चराइजेशन और अभिनय के दम पर लगातार बेहतर कमाई कर रही है।

कार्तिकेय-2 की बढ़ीं स्क्रीन्स
13 अगस्त को रिलीज हुई कार्तिकेय-2 का ओपनिंग कलेक्शन 7 लाख रुपए था। तब तक लाल सिंह चड्ढा और रक्षा बंधन के कलेक्शन गिरना शुरू हो चुके थे और दोनों फिल्मों को लेकर दर्शकों का बहुत नेगेटिव रिस्पॉन्स था। इसका फायदा कार्तिकेय-2 को मिला। जहां अक्षय-आमिर की फिल्मों के शो कैंसिल हुए और इसका भी फायदा कार्तिकेय को मिला। पहले दिन जहां कार्तिकेय-2 50 स्क्रीन्स पर रिलीज हुई थी, तीसरे दिन यही मूवी 1000 स्क्रीन पर पहुंच गई।
