नई दिल्ली। केंद्रीय मंत्री रामविलास पासवान का गुरुवार को दिल्ली में निधन हो गया। वे 74 साल के थे। वे पिछले कुछ दिनों से बीमार थे और दिल्ली के एस्कॉर्ट हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती थे। उनके बेटे चिराग पासवान ने ट्वीट कर इस बात की जानकारी दी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने रामविलास पासवान के निधन पर कहा कि वो अपना दुख शब्दों में बयां नहीं कर सकते हैं। मैंने अपना दोस्त खो दिया। रामविलास पासवान मोदी कैबिनेट में सबसे उम्रदराज मंत्री थे।

चिराग ने किया भावुक ट्वीट
पिता के निधन के बाद चिराग ने रामविलास पासवान और अपने बचपन की फोटो के साथ एक भावुक ट्वीट किया।

मोदी ने रामविलास पासवान के निधन पर दुख जाहिर किया और कहा कि पासवान कड़ी मेहनत और दृढ़ निश्चय से राजनीति की ऊंचाइयों पर पहुंचे। वो एक असाधारण संसद सदस्य और मंत्री थे।

राष्ट्रपति ने संवेदना की व्यक्त
राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने कहा कि देश ने एक दूरदर्शी नेता खो दिया है। रामविलास पासवान संसद के सबसे अधिक सक्रिय और सबसे लंबे समय तक सेवा देने वाले मेंबर रहे। वे दलितों की आवाज थे और उन्होंने हाशिये पर धकेल दिए गए लोगों की लड़ाई लड़ी।

चिराग ने पिता का अंत तक साथ नहीं छोड़ा

लोजपा के अध्यक्ष चिराग पासवान के लिए कठिन समय है। बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव में उनकी पार्टी ने अकेले लड़ने का फैसला किया है। और, पिता रामविलास नहीं रहे। चिराग ने अपने पिता का अंतिम समय तक साथ नहीं छोड़ा। बीते दो महीने से, यानी जब से बिहार चुनावों की गहमागहमी शुरू हुई, तब भी चिराग पिता के पास दिल्ली में मौजूद रहे। जब पासवान की तबियत बिगड़नी शुरू हुई, उसके बाद से चिराग किसी भी सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम में नहीं गए। एक बार दिल्ली के महावीर मंदिर गए, जहां उन्होंने पिता के लिए प्रार्थना की।

बिहार चुनाव की सरगर्मी के बावजूद उन्होंने राजनीतिक गतिविधियों में हिस्सा नहीं लिया। इंटरव्यू नहीं दिया और ना मीडिया में बयानबाजी की। लगातार अस्पताल और घर के बीच ही दौड़ते रहे। पार्टी की अहम बैठकों में भी केवल मौजूदगी के लिए पहुंचे। सोशल मीडिया के जरिए समर्थकों को पिता की बीमारी और स्वास्थ्य के बारे में जानकारी भी देते रहे।

अस्पताल में भर्ती होते वक्त रामविलास पासवान ने किए थे 3 ट्वीट

रामविलास पासवान 11 सितंबर को अस्पताल में भर्ती हुए थे। एम्स में 2 अक्टूबर की रात को उनकी हार्ट सर्जरी की गई थी। यह पासवान की दूसरी हार्ट सर्जरी थी। इससे पहले भी उनकी एक बायपास सर्जरी हो चुकी थी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, गृह मंत्री अमित शाह और रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने चिराग पासवान को फोन कर केंद्रीय मंत्री के स्वास्थ्य के बारे में जानकारी ली थी।

1969 में पासवान ने लड़ा था पहला चुनाव

  • रामविलास पासवान का जन्म पांच जुलाई 1946 को बिहार के खगड़िया जिले एक गरीब और दलित परिवार में हुआ था।
  • उन्होंने बुंदेलखंड यूनिवर्सिटी झांसी से एमए और पटना यूनिवर्सिटी से एलएलबी की।
  • 1969 में पहली बार पासवान बिहार के राज्‍यसभा चुनाव में संयुक्त सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के कैंडिडेट के तौर पर चुनाव जीते।
  • 1977 में छठी लोकसभा में पासवान जनता पार्टी के टिकट पर सांसद बने।
  • 1982 में हुए लोकसभा चुनाव में पासवान दूसरी बार जीते।
  • 1983 में उन्‍होंने दलित सेना का गठन किया तथा 1989 में नौवीं लोकसभा में तीसरी बार चुने गए।
  • 1996 में दसवीं लोकसभा में वे निर्वाचित हुए।
  • 2000 में पासवान ने जनता दल यूनाइटेड से अलग होकर लोक जन शक्ति पार्टी का गठन किया।
  • इसके बाद वह यूपीए सरकार से जुड़ गए और रसायन एवं खाद्य मंत्री और इस्पात मंत्री बने।
  • पासवान ने 2004 में लोकसभा चुनाव जीता, लेकिन 2009 में उन्हें हार का सामना करना पड़ा।
  • बारहवीं, तेरहवीं और चौदहवीं लोकसभा में भी चुनाव जीते।
  • अगस्त 2010 में बिहार राज्यसभा के सदस्य निर्वाचित हुए और कार्मिक तथा पेंशन मामले और ग्रामीण विकास समिति के सदस्य बनाए गए थे।
