कोरोना वायरस: मृतकों के परिजनों को 4 लाख रुपये का मुआवजा

नई दिल्ली। केंद्र सरकार ने कोविड-19 को आपदा घोषित करने का फैसला किया है। भारत में कोरोना वायरस के अब तक 83 मामले सामने आ चुके हैं जिनमें दो लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, यह फैसला इसलिए किया गया है ताकि पीड़ितों को स्टेट डिजास्टर रेस्पॉन्स फंड यानी एसडीआरएफ के अंतर्गत मदद दी जा सके।

कोरोना आपदा घोषित
कोरोना को आपदा घोषित करते ही केंद्र सरकार ने यह फैसला किया है कि इस वायरस के चपेट में आए लोगों की अगर मौत हो जाती है तो उनके परिजनों को चार लाख रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता दी जाएगी। इनमें उन लोगों के परिजनों को भी आर्थिक सहायता दिए जाने का प्रावधान शामिल है जिनकी मौत कोरोना राहत अभियान या उससे जुड़ी गतिविधि के कारण हुई हो।

एसडीआरएफ के अंतर्गत मिलेगी सहायता
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय की तरफ से जारी बयान में कहा गया है, ‘सरकार ने कोविड-19 को आपदा की तरह लेने का फैसला किया है ताकि एसडीआरएफ के अंतर्गत सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जा सके।’ इसने आगे कहा, ‘कोरोना वायरस से जान गंवाने वाले लोगों के परिजनों को 4 लाख रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता दी जाएगी जिनमें वो लोग भी शामिल हैं जिनकी मौत राहत अभियान से या इससे जुड़ी गतिविधि में हुई हो।’

कोरोना पर बड़ी कामयाबी
चीन के वुहान से फैली इस महामारी से दुनियाभर में 5000 से अधिक लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। भारत ने उस वक्त ही इसके खिलाफ तैयारी शुरू कर दी थी जब दिसंबर के आखिरी में चीन में इसके छिटपुट मामले सामने आए थे। इसी का नतीजा है कि भारत दुनिया का पांचवां देश बन चुका है जिसने डब्ल्यूएचओ द्वारा घोषित वैश्विक महामारी (PANDEMIC) को आइसोलेट यानी अलग-थलग करने में सफलता अर्जित कर ली है। भारत से पहले चीन, जापान, थाइलैंड औऱ अमेरिका वायरस को आइसोलेट करने में सफल रहा है।
