नई दिल्ली। वर्तमान में ठगी के मामलों में काफी इजाफा देखा गया है। ऐसे में ट्राई ने सख्त कदम उठाये हैं। दूरसंचार नियामक ट्राई ने ग्राहकों को ठगने वाले फर्जी मैसेज पर रोक न लगा पाने के लिए बीएसएनएल, रिलायंस जियो, भारती एयरटेल और वोडाफोन आइडिया सहित कई कंपनियों पर कुल 35 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है।
अन्य जिन कंपनियों पर जुर्माना लगाया गया है उनमें वीडियोकॉन, क्वाड्रन्ट टेलीसर्विसेज और टाटा टेलीसर्विसेज शामिल हैं। ट्राई ने सबसे ज्यादा 30.1 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना सरकारी कंपनी भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड पर लगाया गया है। ट्राई ने इन कंपनियों को कारण बताओ नोटिस दिया था और कई बार रिमाइंडर भेजने के बावजूद इन कंपनियों ने कोई जवाब नहीं दिया। इसके अलावा वोडाफोन आइडिया Vi पर 1.82 करोड़ रुपये, क्वाड्रन्ट पर 1.41 करोड़ रुपये, एयरटेल पर 1.33 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है।
इससे स्पैम कॉल और फेक टेक्स्ट मैसेज के खिलाफ अभियान चलाने वाली पेटीएम जैसी ई-पेमेंट कंपनियों को प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा। गौरतलब है कि इस मामले में सितंबर में हुई एक सुनवाई के दौरान दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने ट्राई को यह निर्देश दिया था कि जो कंपनियां और व्यक्ति रेगुलेशन का पालन नहीं कर रहे उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई करे। जिसे देखते हुए हरकत में आई ट्राई ने अब फरमान जारी कर टेलीकॉम कंपनियों को जुरमाना अदा करने का आदेश दिया है।
