मुंबई में एक अवॉर्ड फंक्शन में बात करते हुए दीपिका ने पॉलिटिक्स में जाने से जुड़ी एक इच्छा जताई। दीपिका ने कहा कि उन्हें अगर मौका मिला तो वो स्वच्छ भारत मंत्री पद लेना चाहेंगी। इसकी वजह पर बात करते हुए एक्ट्रेस ने कहा कि वो सफाई को लेकर बहुत जागरूक हैं। जिस वजह से उन्हें ये पद ही मिलना चाहिए।
लेकिन इस वक्त दीपिका का पॉलिटिक्स में जाने का कोई प्लान नहीं है क्योंकि दीपिका बहुत जल्द अपनी अगली फिल्म ‘छपाक’ जोकि एसिड अटैक सर्वाइवर लक्ष्मी के जीवन पर आधारित है उसकी शूटिंग शुरू करने वाली हैं। इस फिल्म में दीपिका के साथ उनके अपोजिट विक्रांत मैसी भी फिल्म में नजर आएंगे। इससे पहले दीपिका 2018 में आई फिल्म ‘पद्मावत’ नजर आई थीं। इस फिल्म को जबरदस्त सफलता मिली थी। फिल्म में उन्होंने रानी पद्मावती का किरदार निभाया था।
दोस्त नाइट आउट के लिए फ्लैट पर बुलाते थे दीपिका पादुकोण ने अपने बचपन का एक किस्सा शेयर किया और बताया कि जब मैं छोटी थी तो सभी मुझे अपने फ्लैट पर नाइट आउट के लिए बुलाते थे और मुझे लगता था कि मैं बहुत फेमस हूं.. लेकिन बाद में मुझे एहसास हुआ कि वो मुझे केवल इसलिए बुलाते थे ताकि मैं उनके बेडरूम और अलमारी को साफ कर सकूं। मैं जब भी घर पर होती हूं तो सफाई करती रहती हूं।
