जालंधर। 17वीं लोकसभा के लिए हुए चुनाव के चौंकाने वाले नतीजे गुरुवार को सामने आए। भारतीय जनता पार्टी (बीजेपी) को ऐतिहासिक जीत मिली। हालांकि, जालंधर के एक काउंटिंग सेंटर में चर्चा सिर्फ बीजेपी की जीत की नहीं, बल्कि एक और शख्स की है। शटर बनाने का बिजनस करने वाले नीतू शटरांवाला गुरुवार को आंसुओं के साथ काउंटिंग सेंटर से बाहर निकले। इसकी वजह सिर्फ चुनावी हार नहीं थी।

टूट चुके नीतू ने बताया, ‘मेरे परिवार में 9 लोग हैं, लेकिन मुझे सिर्फ 5 वोट मिले और यह मेरे लिए हैरान कर देने वाला है। मेरी पूरी गली ने मुझे वोट करने का वादा किया था, लेकिन मुझे सिर्फ 5 वोट मिले। मैं एक महीने अपनी दुकान से दूर रहा और लोगों के बीच काम किया, लेकिन उन्होंने मेरे लिए वोट नहीं किया।’ हार से निराश नीतू ने आगे से कोई चुनाव नहीं लड़ने का फैसला किया है।
