भारत और म्यांमार ने साझा कार्यवाही कर, सीमा पर किया ऑपरेशन सनशाइन-2

नई दिल्ली। भारत और म्यांमार की सेनाओं ने मणिपुर, नगालैंड और असम में सक्रिय विभिन्न उग्रवादी समूहों को निशाना बनाते हुए बड़ी कार्रवाई की। इसमें दोनों ने अपने-अपने सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में 16 मई से तीन हफ्ते तक साझा अभियान चलाया, जिसे ‘ऑपरेशन सनशाइन’ नाम दिया गया। रक्षा सूत्रों ने रविवार को बताया कि ‘ऑपरेशन सनशाइन 2’ का पहला चरण भारत-म्यांमार सीमा पर तीन महीने पहले चलाया गया था। इस दौरान पूर्वोत्तर स्थित उग्रवादी समूहों के कई ठिकानों को नष्ट कर दिया गया था।

म्यांमार भारत के रणनीतिक पड़ोसियों में से एक है और उग्रवाद प्रभावित मणिपुर तथा नगालैंड सहित पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों से इसकी 1,640 किलोमीटर लंबी सीमा लगती है। भारत सीमा रक्षा के लिए दोनों देशों की सेनाओं के बीच गहरे समन्वय पर जोर देता रहा है। सूत्रों ने बताया कि ‘ऑपरेशन सनशाइन-2’ के दौरान उग्रवादी समूहों के शिविरों को नष्ट करने के लिए दोनों देशों की सेनाओं ने एक-दूसरे का सहयोग किया।

ऑपरेशन के दौरान छह दर्जन उग्रवादियों को दबोचा
जिन उग्रवादी संगठनों को निशाना बनाया गया, उनमें कामतापुर लिबरेशन ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (केएलओ), एनएससीएन (खापलांग), उल्फा (1) और नैशनल डेमोक्रेटिक फ्रंट ऑफ बोडोलैंड (एनडीएफबी) शामिल हैं। उन्होंने जानकारी दी कि अभियान के दौरान कम से कम छह दर्जन उग्रवादियों को दबोच लिया गया और उनके कई ठिकाने तबाह कर दिए गए। सूत्रों ने बताया कि दोनों देश खुफिया सूचनाओं और जमीनी स्थिति के आधार पर अभियान का अगला चरण भी शुरू कर सकते हैं। अभियान में भारतीय सेना के साथ ही असम राइफल्स के जवान भी शामिल थे।

बता दें कि इससे पहले 22 से 26 फरवरी तक ऑपरेशन सनशाइन 1 चलाया गया था। तब भारतीय सेना ने अपनी सीमा में अराकान उग्रवादी समूह के खिलाफ ऐक्शन लिया था। ऑपरेशन के दौरान भारत की तरफ से भागकर म्यांमार गए उग्रवादियों को वहां की आर्मी ने पकड़ लिया था।
