नई दिल्ली। जस्टिस यूयू ललित को देश का अगला मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया गया है। निवर्तमान मुख्य न्यायाधीश एनवी रमना ने न्यायमूर्ति यूयू ललित के नाम की सिफारिश अपने उत्तराधिकारी के रूप में की थी। जिसके बाद उन्हें देश का 49वां मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया गया है। आपको बता दें कि एनवी रमना इसी महीने रिटायर हो रहे हैं, ऐसे में जस्टिस यूयू ललित को सुप्रीम कोर्ट का मुखिया नियुक्त किया है।

एक सरकारी अधिसूचना में बुधवार को कहा गया था कि जस्टिस यूयू ललित को भारत का 49वां मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया गया है। जस्टिस यूयू ललित का पूरा नाम उदय उमेश ललित हैं और उन्हें क्रिमिनल लॉ का विशेषज्ञ माना जाता है। आपको बता दें कि जस्टिस यूयू ललित का कार्यकाल तीन महीने से भी कम का होगा क्योंकि वो इसी साल नवंबर में रिटायर होंगे।
