पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ 1989 में डेब्यू करने वाले इस महान बल्लेबाज ने वर्ल्ड कप के लिए चुनी गई टीम को बेहतर बताया है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘वर्ल्ड कप के लिए चुनी गई टीम में दो ऑलराउंडर खिलाड़ी हैं। हार्दिक पंड्या और विजय शंकर बल्लेबाजी और गेंदबाजी दोनों करने में सक्षम हैं।’ उन्होंने स्पिनरों की तारीफ करते हुए कहा, ‘टीम में दो क्वॉलिटी कलाई के स्पिनर हैं- कुलदीप यादव और युजवेंद्र चहल, जो मिडल ओवर में ओवर करेंगे। हमारे पास रविंद्र जडेजा के रूप में स्पिन-ऑलराउंडर भी है।’
