नवी मुंबई। मुंबई के बाजारों में खुले आम बिक रहा नकली हापुस आम। मुंबई के बाजारों में खुलेआम कर्नाटक से हापुस प्रजाति के आए आमों को कोंकण हापुस आम के नाम पर बेचा जा रहा है। यह बिक्री नवी मुंबई और ठाणे सहित समूचे मुंबई महानगर क्षेत्र के उपनगरों के फुटकर बाजारों, गलियों, मुहल्लों में की जा रही है।

बाजार में घूमते विक्रेता

2018 में कोंकण में उत्पादित हापुस (अल्फांसो) को ‘जीआई टैग’ की पहचान मिलने से अब सिर्फ इन्हें ही ‘हापुस’ नाम से खरीदा-बेचा जा सकता है। जीआई टैग से कर्नाटक, आंध्र प्रदेश, गुजरात और महाराष्ट्र के अन्य जिलों तथा इस साल से दक्षिण अफ्रीका में उत्पादित इसी प्रजाति के आमों को ‘हापुस’ नाम नहीं दिया जा रहा है। दुकानदार खुदरा विक्रेता तो इसका पालन कर रहे हैं, पर फेरीवाले नहीं।
