मथुरा। उत्तर प्रदेश के मथुरा जिले में सोमवार रात पुलिस ने चरमपंथी संगठन पॉपुलर फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया और उसके सहयोगी कैंपस फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया से जुड़े चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। पकड़े गए लोगों के पास हाथरस गैंगरेप मामले से जुड़ा भड़काऊ साहित्य भी मिला है। इनके मोबाइल, लैपटॉप जब्त किए गए हैं। चारों आरोपी दिल्ली से आए थे और हाथरस जा रहे थे।
पुलिस और खुफिया एजेंसियां आरोपियों से पूछताछ में जुटी हैं। पुलिस ने हाथरस के बहाने यूपी में जातीय हिंसा भड़काने की साजिश का खुलासा रविवार को ही किया था। इसमें PFI का नाम भी सामने आया था।
PFI यानी पॉपुलर फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया एक चरमपंथी इस्लामिक संगठन है। इसका हेड ऑफिस दिल्ली के शाहीन बाग में है। यह संगठन नागरिकता संशोधन कानून के विरोध में दिल्ली में हुए दंगों में भी शामिल था।
पुलिस को पहले ही इनपुट मिल गया था
एडीजी लॉ एंड ऑर्डर प्रशांत कुमार ने बताया, “कुछ संदिग्ध लोगों के दिल्ली से हाथरस आने की जानकारी मिली थी। इस इनपुट पर इंटेलीजेंस एजेंसियों और हाथरस से लगे सभी इलाकों में अलर्ट कर दिया गया था।”

गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में मुजफ्फरनगर का अतीक, बहराइच का मसूद अहमद, रामपुर का आलम और केरल के मल्लपुरम का सिद्दीक शामिल हैं। बैरा काजी निवासी मसूद दिल्ली की जामिया मिल्लिया का छात्र है। वह एलएलबी कर रहा है। सुरक्षा एजेंसियां इस बात का पता लगा रही हैं कि हाथरस के बहाने उत्तर प्रदेश में दंगे भड़काने की साजिश में और कौन-कौन शामिल है।
