कार्यक्रम के दौरान अपने अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार डॉ. आरएस तिवारी शिखरेश ने कहा कि छलका मधु घट रचनाकार के बहुआयामी व्यक्तित्व का वह दर्पण है, जिसमें उसकी संचेतना, संकल्पना, चिंतन एवं मनो दार्शनिक मंथन प्रतिबिंबित होता है। डॉ. आरएस तिवारी शिखरेश ने कहा कि मात्र 17 वर्णों में हाइकु की रचना अपने आप में एक चुनौती है। साधना जी ने सुंदर बिंबों, रूपकों एवं मानवीकरण के साथ भावपूर्ण कथ्य को जिस तरह बांधा है, वह सराहनीय है।

मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. त्रिमोहन तरल ने कहा कि साधना वैद के हाइकु पाठक को अल्प समय में विचार की गूढ़ता और सघनता से परिचित कराते हुए काव्य का आनंद लेने का अवसर प्रदान करते हैं। विशिष्ट अतिथि डॉ. अशोक विज ने कहा कि हाइकु की तीन पंक्तियों में किसी भी विषय वस्तु को समेटना इसे एक कठिन विधा बनाता है जिसमें साधना जी ने स्वयं को पारंगत किया है। आगरा पब्लिक स्कूल के चेयरमैन महेश शर्मा ने भी साधना वैद की रचना धर्मिता की मुक्त कंठ से सराहना की। आगरा रायटर्स एसोसिएशन के संस्थापक अध्यक्ष डॉ. अनिल उपाध्याय ने कहा कि साधना वैद का हाइकु संग्रह मानवीय अनुभूतियों के चरम क्षण की प्रतिध्वनि है।
