पंत ने कहा, ‘अगर आप ऐसे विकेट पर जम जाते हो तो आपको अपनी टीम के लिये मैच खत्म करना चाहिए। मैं करीब ले गया, लेकिन अगली बार मैं टीम के लिए फिनिश करूंगा। मैं थोड़ा सकारात्मक होने की कोशिश करूंगा। अगर नकारात्मक होते हैं तो यह मददगार नहीं होता।’
