इनकम टैक्स स्लैब को पुनर्गठित करने का सुझाव

नई दिल्ली। डायरेक्ट टैक्स कोड पर बने पैनल ने वित्त मंत्रालय को सौंपी रिपोर्ट में पर्सनल इनकम टैक्स स्लैब को पुनर्गठित करने का सुझाव दिया है। समिति ने सलाह दी है कि मौजूदा 5%, 20% और 30% टैक्स स्लैब की बजाय 5%, 10% और 20% के टैक्स स्लैब रखे जाने चाहिए। एक अन्य रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक 10-20 लाख रुपए तक की आय पर 20% टैक्स का सुझाव दिया है। फिलहाल 10 लाख से अधिक आय पर 30% टैक्स लगता है। समिति ने 20 लाख से 2 करोड़ रुपए की आय पर 30% टैक्स का प्रस्ताव दिया है।

रुकेगी टैक्स की चोरी
2.5 लाख से 5 लाख रुपए तक की आय पर अभी 5% टैक्स लगता है। 5 लाख से 10 लाख रुपए तक की आय पर 20% और 10 लाख से ज्यादा आय पर 30% टैक्स लगता है। समिति ने कहा कि टैक्स स्लैब रिवाइज करने से 2-3 साल के लिए रेवेन्यू में कमी हो सकती है, लेकिन इसके बाद टैक्स भरने में लोगों को आसानी होगी। टैक्स चोरी भी रुकेगी। एक मध्यस्थता पैनल का गठन करना भी जरूरी है, जिससे टैक्स अनुपालन को बढ़ावा देने में मदद मिलेगी।

लॉन्ग टर्म कैपिटल गेन टैक्स को बनाए रखने का भी सुझाव
इसके अलावा समिति ने डिविडेंड डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन टैक्स को खत्म करने का सुझाव दिया है। पैनल ने कहा कि कंपनियों की उस डिविडेंड इनकम पर टैक्स लेना चाहिए जिसका हिस्सा उन्होंने शेयरहोल्डर्स को नहीं दिया है। डीडीटी के चलते कंपनियों को दोगुना टैक्स देना पड़ता है। अभी भारतीय कंपनियों को किसी वित्त वर्ष में घोषित या दिए गए कुल डिविडेंड पर 15% का डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन टैक्स देना पड़ता है। इस पर 12% सरचार्ज और 3% सेस भी लगता है। इसके अलावा पैनल ने लॉन्ग टर्म कैपिटल गेन टैक्स और सिक्योरिटीज ट्रांजेक्शन टैक्स को बनाए रखने का भी सुझाव दिया।
