प्रयागराज। जरासी लापरवाही बड़ी खतरनाक साबित हो जाती है। ऐसा ही मामला प्रयागराज में सामने आया है। फूलपुर स्थित इंडियन फार्मर्स फटीर्लाइजर कॉऑपरेटिव लिमिटेड (इफको) प्लांट में आधी रात को अमोनिया गैस लीक होने के कारण दो अधिकारियों की मौत हो गई, जबकि करीब 12 लोगों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। मृतकों में सहायक प्रबंधक वी.पी. सिंह और उपप्रबंधक अभयानंदन शामिल हैं। हादसा मंगलवार आधी रात के आसपास हुआ।
पीआरओ विश्वजीत श्रीवास्तव ने कहा कि गैस रिसाव की दुर्घटना के बाद दो अधिकारियों ने इलाज के दौरान अस्पताल में दम तोड़ दिया। वे सहायक प्रबंधक (यूरिया) और डिप्टी मैनेजर (ऑफसाइट) थे। विभिन्न अस्पतालों में भर्ती दर्जन भर अन्य लोगों की हालत पर निगरानी रखी जा रही है। इफको की जौनपुर-गोरखपुर रोड पर फूलपुर में अमोनिया और यूरिया मैन्युफैक्च रिंग की दो यूनिट है।
यूरिया यूनिट में मंगलवार रात के दौरान जब अमोनिया गैस का रिसाव हुआ तब काम सामान्य रूप से चल रहा था। रिसाव के बाद जहां अधिकांश श्रमिक भाग गए, वहीं उनमें से 14 बेहोश हो गए और उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां दो ने दम तोड़ दिया। ट्रांस गंगा के एसपी धवल जायसवाल ने कहा कि कंपनी के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी यूनिट में पहुंचे और गैस रिसाव को बंद किया गया। कंपनी के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि गैस रिसाव के कारणों की जांच की जाएगी। इतनी बड़ी घटना और लापरवाही जिसने दो जिंदगियों को छीन लिया और दर्जनों लोग मौत से जूझ रहे हैं, आखिर इसका जिम्मेवार कौन है?
