केनबरा। टीम इंडिया ने सीरीज के आखिरी मैच में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के सामने जीत के लिए 303 रनों का लक्ष्य रखा. भारतीय टीम ने हार्दिक पंड्या नाबाद 92 रन, 76 गेंदें, 7 चौके, एक छक्का और रवींद्र जडेजा नाबाद 66 रन, 50 गेंदें, 5 चौके, 3 छक्के के बीच छठे विकेट के लिए 150 रनों की अटूट साझेदारी की बदौलत निर्धारित 50 ओवरों में 5 विकेट पर 302 रन बनाए। बुधवार को भारतीय टीम ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया को 13 रनों से मात दी, जिससे मेजबान टीम विराट ब्रिगेड का सीरीज में सूपड़ा साफ नहीं कर पाई। 303 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी ऑस्ट्रेलिया की टीम 49.3 ओवरों में 289 रनों पर सिमट गई। ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने यह सीरीज 2-1 से अपने नाम की। अब 4 दिसंबर से तीन टी-20 मैचों की सीरीज खेली जाएगी।
