मिर्जापुर। जल है तो जीवन है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज रविवार को उत्तर प्रदेश के मिर्जापुर और सोनभद्र के क्षेत्र में पेयजल परियोजना का शिलान्यास किया। इससे यहां के रहने वाले 42 लाख लोगों को फायदा होगा। पीएम मोदी ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से जल जीवन मिशन उत्तर प्रदेश के अंतर्गत विंध्य क्षेत्र के जनपद मिर्जापुर और सोनभद्र में 2,995 राजस्व ग्रामों की 42 लाख आबादी को लाभ पहुंचाने वाली 5,555 करोड़ की 23 ग्रामीण पाइप पेयजल योजनाओं का शिलान्यास किया।

इस मौके पर पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ भी उपस्थित थे। पेयजल परियोजना के लोकार्पण के बाद पीएम मोदी ने गांव की जल और स्वच्छता समिति के सदस्यों के साथ संवाद भी किया। पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने इस मौके पर कहा, जीवन की बड़ी समस्या जब हल होने लगती है तो अलग ही विश्वास झलकने लगता है। ये विश्वास, उत्साह आप में मैं देख पा रहा। पानी के प्रति आप में संवेदनशीलता कितनी है, ये भी दिख रहा है। सरकार आपकी समस्याओं को समझकर उनका समाधान कर रही है।

2 साल में पूरा होगा ये पेयजल परियोजना मिर्जापुर और सोनभद्र के क्षेत्र में पेयजल परियोजना को पूरा करने के लिए दो साल का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इस परियोजना के साथ 2 हजार 995 गांवों के सभी परिवारों को नल का साफ पानी मिलेगा। इसको बनाने में कुल लागत 5 हजार 555 करोड़ रुपये लगेंगे। इस दोनों इलाके के सभी गांवों में ग्राम जल स्वच्छता समितियों और जल समितियों का गठन किया गया है, जो इस पेयजल परियोजना के संचालन और रखरखाव की जिम्मेदारी लेंगे। लम्बे समय यहाँ के लोग पानी की समस्या से जूझ रहे थे, जिन्हें अब रहत मिल सकेगी।
