असम। असम के तिनसुकिया जिले में स्थित सरकारी गैस कंपनी ऑयल इंडिया के गैस के कुएं में आग लग गई। मंगलवार दोपहर को हुई इस घटना में फिलहाल किसी के हताहत होने की खबर नहीं है। हालांकि आग कितनी भीषण है इसका अंदाजा इसी से लगाया जा सकता है कि आग की लपटें दो किमी दूर से देखी जा सकती हैं।

ऑयल इंडिया ने एक बयान जारी कर इसके बारे में जानकारी दी। कंपनी के मुताबिक, ‘कुएं से गैस बेतहाशा बाहर आ रही है जिससे आग और भड़क रही है।’ फिलहाल आग पर काबू पाने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। कंपनी के प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि आग कैसे और कब लगी, अभी इस बारे में कुछ जानकारी नहीं है। मौके पर राहत कार्य के लिए एनडीआरएफ की एक टीम मौजूद है।

दो हफ्ते से लीक हो रही थी गैस
दरअसल तिनसुकिया के बाघजन स्थित इस सरकारी गैस के कुएं में बीते दो हफ्ते से गैस लीक हो रही थी। ऑयल इंडिया और लोकल प्रशासन इस पर नजर बनाए हुए था और इस पर नियंत्रण की कोशिश की जा रही थी। मंगलवार को भी टीम ने एक एक्सपर्ट ग्रुप को गैस लीक पर काबू पाने के लिए बुलाया था। हालांकि गैस पर काबू पाया जाता उससे पहले ही यह बड़ा हादसा हो गया।

कांग्रेस का बीजेपी पर तीखा हमला
गैस प्लांट में भीषण आग की घटना पर राजनीति भी शुरू हो गई है। असम के कालियाबोर से सांसद और कांग्रेस नेता गौरव गोगोई ने ट्वीट किया, ‘असम और दिल्ली में बीजेपी सरकार की निष्क्रियता की वजह से ऑयल इंडिया के एक ही गैस कुएं में दो बार आग लगी है। आत्मनिर्भरता और ऐक्ट ईस्ट पॉलिसी सिर्फ कागजों में है।’
