सूरत के ओएनजीसी टर्मिनल में हुए 3 धमाके, लगी भीषण आग

सूरत। गुजरात के सूरत में तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस निगम के प्लांट में गुरुवार तड़के करीब 3 बजे भीषण आग लग गई। आग इतनी भीषण थी कि उसकी लपटें करीब 7 किमी दूर से भी दिखाईं दे रही थीं। प्लांट में तीन धमाके भी हुए, जिससे आसपास के इलाके मेें अफरा-तफरी मच गई। करीब चार घंटे की मशक्कत के बाद फायर ब्रिगेड ने आग पर काबू पा लिया। हादसे में तीन कर्मचारियों के लापता होने की बात सामने आ रही है। प्रशासनिक अधिकारी अब भी मौके पर मौजूद हैं और अब हालात नियंत्रण में हैं। प्लांट के अधिकारी आग लगने के कारणों का पता लगा रहे हैं।

25 फीट तक उठीं लपटें
प्लांट के आसपास रहने वाले गांववालों ने बताया कि उन्होंने तेज धमाके सुने और डर गए। उन्होंने आसमान में आग के गोले साफ-साफ देखे। आग की लपटें 25-30 फीट तक उठती दिखाईं दीं। सूरत के डीएम धवल पटेल का कहना है कि प्लांट में लगी आग फिलहाल ऑन साइट इमरजेंसी की स्थिति में है। उन्होंने कहा कि ऑफ साइट इमरजेंसी नहीं होने के कारण आसपास के लोगों को घबराने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है। आग पर अब पूरी तरह नियंत्रण पा लिया गया है।

इस तकनीक से भीषण हादसा टल गया
आग मुंबई से सूरत तक आने वाली गैस पाइप के टर्मिनल में लगी थी। हालांकि, आग लगते ही वॉल्व बंद कर दिया गया था, जिससे गैस की सप्लाई रुक गई और एक भीषण हादसा टल गया। जहां आग लगी थी, वहां प्रेशर से गैस चिमनी द्वारा निकाल दी गई और इसी के चलते आग की लपटें 25-30 फीट ऊंचाई तक दिखाईं दीं। इसी तकनीक के इस्तेमाल से आग बढ़ने से रोक ली गई।

3 किमी दूर चिमनी से गैस निकालकर जलाई गई
प्लांट के मेन गेट के पास ही यह चिमनी बनाई गई है। यह प्लांट के मुख्य टर्मिनल से करीब 3 किमी दूर है। इसका उपयोग इमरजेंसी में गैस निकालकर हवा में ही गैस को जलाकर नष्ट करने के लिए किया जाता है। इससे प्लांट में भरी गैस बाहर निकाल दी जाती है, जिससे प्लांट में आग नहीं फैल पाती। वहीं, गैस निकालने के बाद उसे हवा में ही जला दिया जाता है, जिससे गैस वातावरण में न फैल सके।

करीब 19 किमी में फैला है प्लांट
तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस निगम का यह प्लांट सूरत के पास स्थित हजीरा इंडस्ट्रियल एरिया में करीब 19 किमी एरिया में फैला है। बता दें, ओनजीसी कंपनी द्वारा एलपीजी, नेप्था, एसकेओ, एटीएफ और एचएसडीएन प्रोपेन गैसें बनाई जाती हैं।

हजीरा इंडस्ट्रियल एरिया से हजारों लोगों की जीविका जुड़ी है
हजीरा इंडस्ट्रियल एरिया में गैस के अलावा अन्य कई प्लांट भी हैं, जिनमें सूरत जिले के अलावा डुमस, भीमपोर, गवीयर, भाटपोर जैसे गांव के लोग भी हजारों की संख्या में फिक्स और कॉन्ट्रेक्ट पर काम करते हैं। हादसे के बाद यहां के 50 फीसदी से ज्यादा प्लांट आगामी आदेश तक के लिए बंद कर दिए गए हैं।

तीन कर्मचारी लापता
सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को ध्यान में रखते हुए मगदल्ला चौक से इच्छापुर तक का यातायात रोक दिया गया है। फायर ब्रिगेड के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि प्लांट के तीन कर्मचारी लापता हैं। इनमें एक सिक्युरिटी गार्ड, एक श्रमिक और एक लाइनमैन है।

ऑन साइट इमरजेंसी है, घबराने की बात नहीं
धवल पटेल घटना को लेकर साफ किया है कि किसी भी प्लांट में जब कोई भी बड़ा समस्या प्लांट के अंदर ही सीमित होती है तो इसे ऑन साइट इमरजेंसी कहते हैं, वहीं जब स्थिति आउट ऑफ कंट्रोल होकर प्लांट से बाहर तक फैल जाती है तो इसे ऑफ साइट इमरजेंसी कहा जाता है।

पीएम मोदी ने की फोन पर बात
हादसे की गंभीरता को देख प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नवसारी के सांसद और गुजरात भाजपा के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष सीआर पाटिल से फोन पर बात की और तत्काल जरूरी कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए।
