मधुमेह क्या है?
मधुमेह शरीर में अग्राशय द्वारा इंसुलिन का स्त्राव कम हो जाने के कारण होती है। रक्त ग्लूकोज स्तर बढ़ जाता है, साथ ही इन मरीज़ों में रक्त कोलेस्ट्रॉल, वसा के अवयव भी असामान्य हो जाते हैं। धमनियों में बदलाव होते हैं। इन मरीज़ों में आँखों, गुर्दो, मस्तिष्क, ह्दय के क्षतिग्रस्त होने से इनके गंभीर, जटिल घातक रोग का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। 2030 तक भारत में मधुमेह रोगियों की संख्या 10 करोड़ पार कर जाने का अनुमान है मधुमेह एक जानलेवा बीमारी है और स्वास्थ्य संबंधी अन्य तमाम बीमारियों से जुड़ी हुई है। देश में जागरूक लोगों में भी बहुत कम व्यक्ति समय से मधुमेह को लेकर चिकित्सा जांच करवाते हैं। उम्र के साथ होने वाले इस रोग से बचाव के लिए शुरू से चिकित्सा जांच जरूरी है। समय रहते जाँच और फिर इलाज़ हो तो काफी समस्या से बचा जा सकता है।
