मुंबई। कोरोनावायरस से लॉकडाउन के कारण देशभर में मांग और सप्लाई चेन पर बुरा असर पड़ा है। इससे मैन्युफैक्चरिंग पर्चेजिंग मैनेजर्स इंडेक्स (पीएमआई) गिरकर 27.4 पर आ गया। अब तक का यह सबसे निचला स्तर है। इंडेक्स में गिरावट इस बात का संकेत है कि देश में मैन्युफैक्चिरंग से लेकर लगभग सभी सेक्टर में काम रुक गया है। कोरोनावायरस के कारण 25 मार्च से देशभर में लॉकडाउन घोषित कर दिया गया था।

पीएमआई इंडेक्स के शुरू होने के बाद यह सबसे न्यूनतम स्तर
औद्योगिक गतिविधियों के रुकने के कारण अप्रैल में पीएमआई इंडेक्स 27.4 पर पहुंच गया। इससे पहले मार्च में यह 51.8 पर था। 2005 में पीएमआई इंडेक्स के शुरू होने के बाद यह सबसे न्यूनतम स्तर पर है। आईएचएस मार्केट में इकोनॉमिस्ट का कहना है कि मार्च में भारत की औद्योगिक गतिविधियों पर ज्यादा असर नहीं पड़ा था, लेकिन अप्रैल में लॉकडाउन के असर को साफ देखा जा सकता है।

रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि उत्पादन में भारी गिरावट आई है और नए ऑर्डर भी नहीं मिल रहे, इससे रोजगार पर भी बुरा असर पड़ने की आशंका है। 2005 में सर्वे की शुरुआत होने के बाद यह सबसे खराब आंकड़ा है। यह देश के मंदी की तरफ भी जाने की ओर संकेत करता है।
