कोलकाता। प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने स्कूल नौकरियों संबंधी घोटाले की जांच के सिलसिले में पश्चिम बंगाल के उद्योग मंत्री पार्थ चटर्जी को शनिवार को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। एक अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि जब यह घोटाला हुआ था, उस समय पार्थ चटर्जी राज्य के शिक्षा मंत्री थे। तृणमूल कांग्रेस के महासचिव चटर्जी को जांच के सिलसिले में करीब 26 घंटे की पूछताछ के बाद गिरफ्तार किया गया।
तृणमूल कांग्रेस के प्रवक्ता कुणाल घोष ने कहा कि हम हालात पर निकटता से नजर रख रहे हैं। हम उचित समय पर इस मामले पर बयान जारी करेंगे। इस बीच, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष बिमान बनर्जी ने कहा कि प्रवर्तन निदेशालय को विधानसभा के किसी सदस्य को गिरफ्तार करने से पहले अध्यक्ष को इसके बारे में सूचित करना चाहिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि ED या CBI को किसी भी सांसद या विधायक को गिरफ्तार करते समय लोकसभा या विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष को सूचित करना होता है। यह संवैधानिक नियम है, लेकिन चटर्जी की गिरफ्तारी के बारे में ED से मुझे कोई सूचना नहीं मिली। एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि ED ने चटर्जी की करीबी सहयोगी अर्पिता मुखर्जी को भी हिरासत में ले लिया जिनके एक परिसर से 21 करोड़ रुपये नकद राशि जब्त की गई थी।
ED के एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि चटर्जी हमारे अधिकारियों के साथ सहयोग नहीं कर रहे थे जो उनसे शुक्रवार सुबह से पूछताछ कर रहे थे। उन्हें दिन में एक अदालत में पेश किया जाएगा। वर्ष 2014 से 2021 तक राज्य के शिक्षा मंत्री रहे चटर्जी से इस साल अप्रैल और मई में CBI ने भी इस घोटाले के सिलसिले में पूछताछ की थी। विपक्षी भाजपा ने राज्य में सत्तारूढ़ तृणमूल कांग्रेस पर इस घटनाक्रम के बाद निशाना साधा और मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी से जवाब मांगा।
भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष दिलीप घोष ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री को एक कैबिनेट मंत्री की गिरफ्तारी को लेकर बयान जारी करना चाहिए। यह गिरफ्तारी साबित करती है कि तृणमूल गहराई तक भ्रष्टाचार में डूबी है।” भाजपा की प्रदेश इकाई के अध्यक्ष सुकांत मजूमदार ने कहा कि चटर्जी की गिरफ्तारी तृणमूल नेताओं द्वारा अपनाए गए ‘‘विकास के बंगाल मॉडल” को दर्शाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि तृणमूल के मंत्रियों और नेताओं की भ्रष्टाचार में संलिप्तता ‘विकास के बंगाल मॉडल’ का उदाहरण है। जब्त की गई 21 करोड़ रुपये की नकद राशि तो इसका छोटा सा हिस्सा है। मुख्यमंत्री को इस पर जवाब देना चाहिए।
