नई रिपोर्ट में सामने आया है कि आधे से ज्यादा साइबर थ्रेट्स इस तरह डिजाइन किए गए हैं, जिनमें खास तरह से तैयार किए गए रिमूवेबल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। सामने आया है कि साल 2021 के मुकाबले ऐसे खतरे तेजी से बढ़े हैं और इंडस्ट्रीज को इस दिशा में जरूरी कदम उठाने की जरूरत है।
52% साइबर अटैक में रिमूवेबल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल
‘2022 हनीवेल इंडस्ट्रीज साइबर सिक्योरिटी USB थ्रेट रिपोर्ट’ के मुताबिक, USB से जुड़े मालवेयर और खतरे तेजी से बढ़ना इंडस्ट्री से जुड़े लोगों की चिंता बढ़ा रहा है। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि इस साल 52% साइबर खतरों में खास तौर से डिजाइन किए गए रिमूवेबल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल किया गया। वहीं, साल 2021 में यह आंकड़ा 32% था और इसमें आई बढ़त तेजी से बढ़ते खतरे को दिखाती है।
रिमोट ऐक्सेस से जुड़े 51% मामले
चौथे साल शेयर की गई रिपोर्ट में दावा किया गया है कि रिमोट ऐक्सेस से जुड़े कैपेसिटी वाले थ्रेट्स करीब 51% मामलों में सामने आए हैं। वहीं, खास तौर से इंडस्ट्रियल कंट्रोल सिस्टम्स को निशाना बनाने के लिए तैयार किए गए थ्रेड्स की संख्या भी पिछले कुछ साल के मुकाबले तेजी से बढ़ी है। ऐसे में इंडस्ट्रीज के लिए अतिरिक्त सुरक्षा स्तर को उनके सिस्टम का हिस्सा बनाना जरूरी हो जाता है।

हनीवेल कनेक्टेड इंटरप्राइज साइबर सिक्योरिटी के वाइस प्रेसिडेंट एंड जनरल मैनेजर जेफ जिंडल ने कहा, “विरोधी जानबूझकर रिमूवेबल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल शुरुआती अटैक के लिए करते हैं, क्योंकि इसकी मदद से रिमोट कनेक्टिविटी, डेटा चोरी और सिस्टम को कमांड देने या कंट्रोल करने जैसे फायदे मिल जाते हैं।” उन्होंने कहा, “यह साफ हो चुका है कि USB रिमूवेबल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल इंडस्ट्रीज को नुकसान पहुंचाने के लिए किया जा रहा है।”
सिस्टम्स में मिलते हैं ट्रोजन मालवेयर
USB अटैक्स से जुड़े खतरे के अलावा रिसर्च में सामने आया है कि ट्रोजन्स भी इंडस्ट्रीज के ढांचे को नुकसान पहुंचाने में सबसे आगे हैं। इसमें सामने आया है कि इंडस्ट्रियल सिस्टम्स में मिलने वाले मालवेयर्स में से करीब 76% ट्रोजन होते हैं। इस तरह कई बार USB रिमूवेबल मीडिया की मदद से भी ट्रोजन इंस्टॉल करने की कोशिश हैकर्स की ओर से की जाती है, जिसका फायदा उन्हें बाद में सिस्टम कंट्रोल के तौर पर मिलता है।
रिमूवेबल मीडिया को लेकर सावधानी जरूरी
बेहद जरूरी है कि भरोसेमंद रिमूवेबल मीडिया या USB ड्राइव को ही किसी सिस्टम से कनेक्ट किया जाए। बीते दिनों USB चार्जिंग केबल्स की मदद से भी डेटा चोरी और हैकिंग जैसे मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। इंडस्ट्रियल सिस्टम्स को लॉक किया जा सकता है, जिनसे बिना एडमिनिस्ट्रेटर की अनुमति के कोई रिमूवेबल मीडिया उनसे कनेक्ट या ऐक्सेस ना किया जा सके। अनजान USB ड्राइव या केबल्स का इस्तेमाल ना करना ही बचाव है।
