ग्लोबल डेस्क। यूएई में यूरोप की एक महिला को सोशल मीडिया के विभिन्न मंचों के जरिए लोगों से 50,000 डॉलर ठगने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। मीडिया में आई खबर के मुताबिक खुद को तलाकशुदा बता कर यह महिला अपने बच्चों के लिए पैसा जुटाने की बात कह कर लोगों को ठगा करती थी।
दुबई पुलिस के एक अधिकारी के अनुसार महिला को फेसबुक, इंस्टाग्राम एवं ट्विटर के जरिए कई लोगों को ठगने और महज 17 दिनों में इतना पैसा इकठ्ठा करने के लिए गिरफ्तार किया गया। हालांकि दुबई पुलिस ने महिला की नागरिकता या उम्र का खुलासा नहीं किया है।
खबर के मुताबिक दुबई पुलिस के अपराध जांच विभाग के निदेशक ब्रिगेडियर जमाल अल सलेम अल जल्लाफ ने बताया कि महिला ने ऑनलाइन अकाउंट बनाए और बच्चों की तस्वीरें पोस्ट कर उनका पालन-पोषण करने के लिए पैसा जुटाने की बात कह भीख मांगी। ‘वह लोगों से कहती थी कि वह तलाकशुदा है और अपने बच्चों को खुद ही पाल रही है। लेकिन उसके पूर्व पति ने ई-अपराध मंच पर उसकी शिकायत की और साबित किया कि बच्चे उसके साथ रहते हैं।’
ब्रिगेडियर अल जल्लाफ ने लोगों से अपील की कि वे सड़कों या सोशल मीडिया पर भिक्षावृत्ति करने वालों से सहानुभूति न दिखाएं।
