नई दिल्ली। भारत में कोरोनावायरस का कहर लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है। भारत में कोविड-19 से अब तक 124 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है और 4700 से अधिक लोग संक्रमित हैं। इस बीच स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय (Health Ministry) के मंगलवार को प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में लॉकडाउन का महत्व बताया। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने ये भी बताया कि लॉकडाउन की जरूरत क्यों पड़ी। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के संयुक्त सचिव लव अग्रवाल ने बताया कि आईसीएमआर के एक अध्ययन में यह पाया गया है कि अगर लॉकडाउन और सामाजिक मेल-जोल से दूरी बरतने के नियमों का पालन नहीं हुआ तो कोरोनावायरस का एक मरीज 30 दिनों में 406 लोगों को संक्रमित कर सकता है।

उन्होंने बताया कि एहतियाती उपाए किए जाने पर संक्रमण की आशंका इसी अवधि में प्रति मरीज महज ढाई व्यक्ति रह जाएगी। अग्रवाल ने भारतीय चिकित्सा अनुसंधान परिषद के अध्ययन का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि मौजूदा ‘आरओ’ कोरोना वायरस के संक्रमण का औसत कहीं-कहीं 1।5 और चार के बीच है।

आरओ गणितीय शब्दावली है। इससे पता चलता है कि महामारी का प्रसार किस तरह हो रहा है। इन आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि एक संक्रमित व्यक्ति से औसतन कितने लोग संक्रमित होंगे। मौजूदा लॉकडाउन और सामाजिक मेल-जोल से दूरी को रेखांकित करते हुए अग्रवाल ने कहा, ‘अगर लॉकडाउन लागू नहीं हो और सामाजिक दूरी बनाए रखने के नियमों का पालन नहीं हो तो आरओ 2।5 होने पर एक संक्रमित व्यक्ति 30 दिनों में 406 लोगों को संक्रमित कर सकता है। लेकिन, सामाजिक मेल-जोल से दूरी बरतें तो एक बीमार व्यक्ति केवल 2।5 लोगों को ही संक्रमित कर पाएगा।’

उन्होंने लोगों से सामाजिक दूरी बरतने और लॉकडाउन के आदेश का पालन करने की अपील करते हुए कहा कि कोविड-19 के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए यह बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है।
