दुबई। आईपीएल के 13वें सीजन का पहला मैच डिफेंडिंग चैम्पियन मुंबई इंडियंस और चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के बीच थोड़ी देर में अबु धाबी में खेला जाएगा। टूर्नामेंट के इतिहास में यह चौथी बार है, जब दोनों टीमें ओपनिंग मैच खेलेंगी। दोनों टीमों के बीच अब तक हुए तीन ओपनिंग मैच में से 2 मुंबई इंडियंस और 1 सीएसके ने जीता है।

आईपीएल के 13वें सीजन का फाइनल दीपावली से 4 दिन पहले यानि 10 नवंबर को खेला जाएगा। इस दौरान 53 दिन में 8 टीमें 14-14 मैच खेलेंगी। टूर्नामेंट में एक एलिमिनेटर, 2 क्वालिफायर और फाइनल समेत 60 मैच होंगे। यह सभी मुकाबले दुबई (24), अबु धाबी (20) और शारजाह (12) में होंगे।

डिफेंडिंग चैम्पियन मुंबई ने पिछले सीजन के फाइनल में सीएसके को 1 रन से शिकस्त दी थी। इस बार टीम फिर रोहित शर्मा की कप्तानी में जीत से आगाज करना चाहेगी। वैसे यूएई में मुंबई का रिकॉर्ड बेहद खराब रहा है। लोकसभा चुनाव के कारण 2014 में आईपीएल के शुरुआती 20 मैच यूएई में हुए थे। तब मुंबई ने यहां 5 मैच खेले और सभी में उसे हार मिली थी।

सीएसके ने 6 साल पहले यूएई में 5 मैच खेले थे। टीम को 4 में जीत मिली और 1 मैच हारी थी। अबु धाबी में सीएसके ने 2 मैच खेले थे, जिनमें से एक में जीत और एक में शिकस्त मिली थी। वहीं, मुंबई इंडियंस ने इस मैदान पर एक ही मैच खेला, जिसमें कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स ने 41 रन से हराया था।

2018 में हुए ओपनिंग मैच में चेन्नई ने मुंबई को हराया
इस मैच में उतरने के साथ ही मुंबई सबसे ज्यादा 7 बार आईपीएल का ओपनिंग मैच खेलने वाली टीम बनेगी। उसने अब तक 6 ओपनिंग मैच खेले हैं, जबकि कोलकाता नाइटराइडर्स ने भी इतनी ही बार पहला मैच खेला है। मुंबई-चेन्नई के बीच आईपीएल का पिछला ओपनिंग मैच 2018 में हुआ था। तब चेन्नई सुपरकिंग्स रोमांचक मुकाबले में एक विकेट से जीती थी।

रैना ने अब तक 193 मैच में 5368 रन बनाए हैं। वे विराट कोहली (5412) के बाद दूसरे टॉप स्कोरर हैं। वहीं, हरभजन सिंह टीम के टॉप विकेट टेकर हैं। उन्होंने अब तक 160 मैच में 150 विकेट लिए हैं।

मुंबई इंडियंस में बुमराह पूरी करेंगे मलिंगा की कमी
श्रीलंकाई तेज गेंदबाज लसिथ मलिंगा ने 122 मैच में सबसे ज्यादा 170 विकेट लेकर टॉप पर काबिज हैं। हालांकि, वे कोरोना के कारण पहले ही टूर्नामेंट से हट चुके हैं। ऐसे में कप्तान रोहित शर्मा को जसप्रीत बुमराह से पूरी उम्मीद है कि वे मलिंगा की कमी को पूरा करेंगे। बुमराह ने 77 मैच में 82 विकेट लिए हैं।
