मुख्यमंत्री एम. के. स्टालिन ने बिहार के अपने समकक्ष नीतीश कुमार को शनिवार को आश्वासन दिया था कि राज्य में सभी प्रवासी मजदूर सुरक्षित हैं और पुलिस ने अफवाह फैलाने के आरोप में एक दैनिक हिंदी समाचार पत्र के दो पत्रकारों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है.

अन्नाद्रमुक के अपदस्थ नेता ओ. पन्नीरसेल्वम ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार प्रवासी श्रमिकों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कर्तव्यबद्ध है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि उसे तमिलनाडु स्थित कंपनियों में राज्य के युवाओं के लिए रोजगार सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए.
