    आगरा। छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज के पराक्रमपूर्ण इतिहास का एक गौरवपूर्ण पृष्ठ आगरा से जुडा है। उनकी इस स्मृति को चिरस्मरणीय बनाने तथा उत्तर प्रदेश-महाराष्ट्र में एकता स्थापित करने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार के उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री योगेन्द्र उपाध्याय ने एतिहासिक तथ्यों के साथ केन्द्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित भाई शाह से दिल्ली जाकर विस्तार में चर्चा की। इस दौरान उनके बन्दीगृह स्थल पर एक भव्य और दिव्य स्मारक का निर्माण करने का अनुरोध किया गया।

शिवाजी का म्यूजियम बनाने पर भी हुई चर्चा
इस दौरान केन्द्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह के साथ विचार विमर्श में मीना बाजार की कोठी के ऊपर 60 फुट से 100 फुट की छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज की खड़ी मूर्ति स्थापित करना, कोठी के बडे हॉलनुमा कमरों में छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज का म्यूजियम बनाना, उनके जीवन की प्रेरित घटनाओं के लाईट एण्ड साउण्ड प्रोग्राम कराना, मीना बाजार के मैदान में एक पुराना बडा तालाब रहा है उसे पुनर्जीवित कर उस स्थल का भव्य रूप देकर सौंदर्यीकरण करना, कोठी तक पहुँचने वाले मार्ग के दोनों ओर शिवाजी महाराज के प्रेरक प्रसंगांें के चित्र अथवा मूर्तियां लगवाना, प्रतिवर्ष 17 अगस्त को बंदीगृह स्थल से रायगढ (महाराष्ट्र) की भव्य यात्रा का आयेाजन करने आदि मुद्दों पर चर्चा की गई।
