ग्लोबल डेस्क। विश्व के सबसे ऊंचे पर्वतीय शिखर पर पहुंचनेवाले पर्वतारोहियों की संख्या इस साल से अधिक हो सकती है। 1953 में एवरेस्ट फतह करने वाले एडमंड हिलेरी और तेनजिंग नार्गे पहले पर्वतारोही थे। हिमालयन डेटा बेस के अनुसार, तब से अब तक 4000 पर्वतारोही इस चोटी को फतह करने के लिए पहुंच चुके हैं। पिछले कुछ वर्ष में पर्वतारोहियों की संख्या में काफी वृद्धि हुई है।

महिला पर्वतारोहियों की संख्या सबसे अधिक
फिलहाल नेपाल उन सभी आवेदनकर्ताओं को अनुमति दे देता है जो तय रकम अदा करने के लिए तैयार होते हैं। यह रकम 11 हजार अमेरिकी डॉलर यानी लगभग 7.7 लाख रुपये के बराबर है। पर्यटन विभाग के अनुसार, इस साल 378 पर्वतारोहियों को अनुमति दे दी गई है। यह अब तक का सबसे अधिक आंकड़ा है। 2017 में 373 लोगों को अनुमति दी गई थी। इनमें से ज्यादातर पर्वतारोहियों को वहां तक पहुंचने के लिए स्थानीय नेपाली गाइड की जरूरत होती है। इसका मतलब है कि लगभग सबसे ऊंची चोटी तक की यात्रा के लिए 750 लोग आने वाले सप्ताह में चढ़ाई शुरू करेंगे। यह साल इस लिहाज से भी खास है कि इस बार इस रास्ते पर चढ़ाई करनेवाली महिलाओं की संख्या सबसे अधिक होगी।

पर्वतारोहियों की अधिक संख्या का पड़ेगा दुष्प्रभाव
नेपाल के अलावा कुछ लोग तिब्बत वाले रास्ते से भी एवरेस्ट की यात्रा करते हैं। इस बार उत्तर वाले तिब्बत के रास्ते से यात्रा करनेवालों की संख्या 140 है। अभियान विशेषज्ञों का कहमा है कि 2018 में 807 पर्वतारोहियों ने चढ़ाई शुरू की थी जिसमें से 5 की मौत हो गई। विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि पर्वतारोहियों की बड़ती संख्या के कुछ खतरनाक दुष्प्रभाव भी हो सकते हैं। जितनी अधिक संख्या में पर्वतारोही होंगे उतनी ही बड़ी टीम भी होगी। इस वजह से ऑक्सिजन की कमी हो सकती है। ठंड की तीव्रता से होनेवाले दुष्प्रभाव के कारण कभी-कभी मौत भी हो जाती है।

पर्वतारोहियों की बढ़ती संख्या के कुछ दुष्प्रभाव भी हो सकते हैं और ऐसे में एक निश्चित सीमा तय करने का फैसला नेपाल सरकार ले सकती है। हालांकि, पर्वतारोहियों से ली जानेवाली राशि को देखते हुए फिलहाल ऐसा लग रहा है कि नेपाल सरकार बिजनस पर ध्यान दे रही है। सरकार संख्या सीमित करने के विकल्प पर विचार नहीं कर रही है। 2019 में एवरेस्ट के लिए परमिट देने के बदले में सरकार ने 4 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर कमाए हैं। आर्थिक संकट से गुजर रहे नेपाल की सरकार के लिए यह रकम भी काफी बड़ी है।
